Sterling silver, 24k gold foil applied to the birds using the keum boo technique, with a 98.97 ct dendritic agate, 57mm x 57.42mm x 3.26mm. The bezel is blackened with liver of sulfur.
The piece measures 2.54” x .66”. There is a safety clasp on the back for the brooch. The 18” chain has a 3.25” extension and is fastened to a 1.25” sterling silver tube which fits over the brooch pin.
One of a kind.
It’s a surreal piece. A bush is hanging in space while birds fly by as if they’ve seen this before. The bush told me it wanted the flock of swallows.
The birds and bezel were modeled on the computer in ZBrush, 3d printed in a castable resin, and cast in sterling silver. The bezel is finished with a liver of sulfur patina.
