This can be dressy or everyday. The gemstone is slightly large but it's quartz so it can take most everyday wearing.
A sterling silver necklace and a pendant with a pentagonal shaped, fancy facet cut gemstone.
The stone is either a citrine or a smokey quartz. It looks different in different lighting. Either way, it's a fabulous, clean quartz. It's identity matches its crazy cut. They're both not quite what they seem.
An 18" chain, the pendant measures 1.25" x 1" x .27"
The gemstone is 16.86mm x 11.65mm x 5.65mm more or less.
I bought the ring with this gem stone in it from a second hand dealer. The ring was kind of ugly, but the quartz was so clear and its shape so odd that I really liked it. It’s like a contorted mashup of a rectangle and pentagon. The setting for the stone is an exploded equiangular pentagon. That’s about as close as I can get to describing it. I messed around until I liked the way it looked. I intended it to be worn the way I photographed it, but wearing it with the back facing out also looks fie.
Modeled on a computer using Zbrush, printed in a castable resin, cast in silver, then finished with a liver of sulfur patina.
