Sterling silver with a 24k gold foil applied with the keum boo technique, 3mm yellow sapphire cabochon. The silver has been blackened by a liver of sulfur patina, and the rim in the center rotates.
The entire brooch pendant measures 1.17” x .95” x .56”. There is also a 17” chain with a 2.5” extension connected to a .52” tube which fits over the brooch pin.

I was experimenting with how many color combinations I could come up with using only the gold and silver. I have gold and gold, black and gold, silver and gold, silver and black, and silver and silver, if you count the chain.
The hubcap has appeared in other pieces where it is just silver and liver of sulfur. I wanted to take the design further by adding color and by making it rotate.
The models were designed on the computer in ZBrush, 3d printed in a castable resin and cast in sterling silver. I do all the finishing work.
