A big, solid statement ring. One of a kind. Could be worn everyday. It's really comfortable. It's more of a happy big ring than an in your face big ring.
Sterling silver, size 7.
Aquamarines are 1.4 ct, 1.4 ct, 1.7 ct. All around 9mm x 6mm x 4mm.
Amethysts are recycled and one has a tip slightly broken off. They are both a little over 1 ct. and about 9mm x 6mm x 4mm. They came from an antique dealer's junk box.
The stones made a pentagon so I worked with that first. There are lots of pentagons on this ring: Six of them. It was only later that I recognized the flower the stones made together. It's so obvious.
I modeled this on the computer in Zbrush. A 3d print of the model was made in a castable resin, then it was cast in silver. I do my own finishing and polishing.
