Giving Hands Necklace

This piece looks like it would be heavy to wear, but it’s not. The weight is evenly distributed around your neck, especially if you wear it more draped on your shoulders. It’s comfortable, and when the metal warms up from being on your skin, it’s very sensual.

A statement necklace. One of a kind.

Sterling silver with moonstones, labradorite.

The chain of hands is 16.25” with a 6.75” chain extension.

There are 18 giving hands without stones each measuring .75”x.5”x.25”.

A group of of 7 hands in the front is holding 5 moonstones and a labradorite. This front section is about 2”x2”x.375”.

This design just popped into my head and then took ages to actually make. I spent weeks working with a 3d printed version just to get the length of the fingers right (they looked better shorter). Then it took me days to get it together after despruing and cleaning each of the hands.

I have smaller versions of this necklace. They are Offering Necklaces, Single Hand Offering Necklaces, Open Giving Hand Necklace.

Modeled on the computer in Zbrush, 3d printed, molded and cast in silver, finished with a liver of sulfur patina/ oxidized.
