I'd had this blue chalcedony cut like this for years and didn't know what it was. I decided it was a shell and placed it with a sea fan.
The gemstone is 6.1 carat and measures 14mm x 13mm x 5.6mm. The sterling silver pendant measures 1.66" x 1.3" x .31". The chain and back are blackened with a liver of sulfur patina. For the front, I made very delicate colors with the liver of sulfur. They're just barely there. 16" silver chain with a hook clasp.

Modeled on the computer in Zbrush, 3d printed in a castable resin, cast in silver, finished with a liver of sulfur patina. I cut the blue chalcedony. The silver has been waxed.
