The way I would wear it is with the head slightly pointed down, like in the photo. That's the way the birds fly.
When I first saw this baroque pearl, I immediately thought of a flying bird. I imagined an egret, but the way egrets hold their head when they fly didn't match the shape of the pearl, so I chose a swan instead.
The swan was designed and modeled on the computer in Zbrush, printed in a castable resin, cast in sterling silver, and finished with a liver of sulfur patina.
