Blackened sterling silver necklace with one of the birds from the Riding the Wind Necklace. I took the shape of the bird from a Frankish bird brooch I've seen at the Met Museum.
The sterling silver chain and bird bead together are about 17".
The bird is about .99" x .6" x .182" with a spessartite garnet cabochon as its eye.
Modeled on the computer in Zbrush, 3d printed in a castable resin, cast in silver, finished with a liver of sulfur patina.
